About
The SB2C‑4 Helldiver is a US Navy dive bomber (Tier 2, Level 4), designed to replace the SBD Dauntless. Early issues with stability and handling were gradually resolved. It features a powerful Wright R‑2600 engine, carries a heavy payload internally and on hardpoints, and supports both bombs and rockets
Playstyle
Fly low and slow until you reach the attack zone. Strike from above or ahead, then pull up to escape. Effective bombing comes from altitude dives, but dive accuracy is poorer than the Dauntless. While it has some defensive armament, it’s best used with fighter cover as it lacks bottom protection .
Pros and Cons
Pros
➕ Large internal bomb bay greatly reduces drag when armed.
➕ Heavy frontal armament: 2×20 mm wing cannons and 2×7.7 mm rear guns
Cons
➖ Very slow aircraft (top ~459 km/h)
➖ Lacks lower defensive turret—vulnerable from beneath
